100 robots, 30 years of development, and a strong team
What may seem like a matter of course today began in 1996 with a simple idea from our Founder. At the time, he developed our first gantry robot, the PR10. The task behind it was as simple as it was challenging: employees had to move several tons per shift. Of course, an experienced knife maker can perform this work quickly and precisely. But the physical strain was enormous.
The idea, therefore, was not only to automate work, but also to make it easier for people. Our company founder, Volker Glave, and our Operations Manager, Dr. Yiying Cai, jointly developed the PR10, followed just one year later by its successor, the PRCS10. These two robots laid the technological foundation for everything that followed.
Over the years, we have continuously developed our technology step by step. New requirements emerged, new ideas were born. Some worked right away, others did not. Thirty years of development are not only about successes. Setbacks, detours and mistakes were a constant part of the journey. But it was precisely through these experiences that we gained expertise, know-how and quality.
Over the years, a small team grew into an ever-growing one. An idea on paper became state-of-the-art technology. And the first robots evolved into a solution that now convinces customers all over the world.
And now, there it is: our 100th robot and it fills us with pride.
A PRCS30 that set off for our neighboring country, AuFoundstria, on Friday. Equipped with a Tool Cleaning System, ECU20 (Edge Control Unit) and Tool Exchange Station.
An all-in-one solution that today covers far more than the original idea from 1996.
When we look back at this development, one thing becomes particularly clear: 100 robots are not simply 100 machines sold. Behind every single product are people, ideas, decisions, long days, discussions, engineering, programming, assembly and testing. And sometimes, the courage to say: We need to do this differently.
That is why the 100th robot means one thing above all to us: a team effort we are incredibly proud of.
We are also proud that others have now begun trying to replicate solutions that we have developed over many years. To us, that is confirmation of the quality of our work. Anyone trying to replicate our robots has recognized the value they offer.
While others are catching up, we are already looking ahead.

- And we know that the next innovations will not happen by themselves.
That is why we are already working today on what will be needed tomorrow.

We look back on the journey of our PRCS30 with a great sense of pride.
